World Building Resources

So I'm completely captivated by serious world building. The fact that greats like Tolkien and Lewis could build whole worlds with all the nuances just amazes me. It's so freaking hard to do!

Sooooooo, if you are stuck with what to add in your world, here are a few resources I've recommended to others. Let me know if you've come across any other resources as well.

  1. Since my book is grounded in contemporary times, there's not a whole lot of world building, but I do depend a lot on setting, like the fog in San Francisco. It works as a symbol for the bad guys. Anyway, my launch is Thursday 10/18, but my book went live today on Amazon and B&N. Pretty thrilling!

  4. Great resources. I am probably the weakest at world-building, as I tend to be a micro person. Macro thinking makes my brain hurt! Thanks for the links!

  5. Also supposodly the bigger your blog gets i.e. the added posts it has themore recognisable it is to seek engines.

  7. I used to like world building so much. It was my focus. But since I started a contemporary series, it's just not my focus at the moment. Still important though.

Lemme give you a few thoughts, girl, which shall influence U.S. to reach for Utopia no matter what the cost (and, yes, you may take whatever you wish -IF- I may kiss thy feets in Heaven): FOUR!! blogs which tell of the exxxcitement Heaven Above has to offer, which is an eternity of pleasure-beyond-measure; we ROTE {theeyebeam} to show a true story about sex in Heaven after we croak (apparently, most of U.S. are completely unaware of this fact). C'mon, people. The Liar's a deceiver: absolutely no sex in Hell amid the flames, filth and fuglyness, yet, puh-lenty of sssEX! Upstairs for those who want some. And why not?? Doesn’t God say anything and everything’s possible?? Yeah. Thot so. God bless you.
